Fuel Mainnet Is Now Live!
After much anticipation, Fuel mainnet (“Ignition”) is now live! Some notes about the launch:
As a reminder, Fuel was the first team to deploy an optimistic rollup on Ethereum, about four years ago. In fact, that initial launch was able to reach stage 2 security, becoming the first team to do so.
Fuel uses its own virtual machine (VM), FuelVM, and its own programming language, Sway, to achieve better performance capabilities while remaining on Ethereum
Has native account abstraction, providing a superior user experience
Users can now start bridging onto the network and testing out dapps
Devs can start launching smart contracts on the L2
Conduit Unveils G2 Sequencer
Conduit (RaaS) has unveiled & launched G2, their own in-house sequencer that is claimed to have 10x more performance capabilities than any other off the shelf sequencer.
This means that any OP Stack or Arbitrum Orbit based rollup that is hosted by Conduit can upgrade its chain to utilize G2.
How performant is G2? 100Mgas/s.
Celestia Upgrade Brings Performance Boost to Nodes
Celestia’s Shwap upgrade is now live on testnet, bringing a performance upgrade to Celestia nodes.
12x faster DA sampling
16.5 more storage efficiency for full nodes (store 16.5x less
Shwap is expected to reach mainnet in November.
Avail x Symbiotic
Avail has partnered with Symbiotic to bring restaking capabilities to their Fusion Layer.
As a reminder, Avail is building a solution consisting of three core products: AvailDA, Avail Nexus, and Avail Fusion.
Avail Fusion is their unified security layer: users can restake (thanks to this Symbiotic partnership) their ETH or other ERC-20 tokens into Fusion in return for AVAIL staking rewards.
These restaked tokens will ultimately be used to secure the ecosystem of dapps that launch on top of Avail.
Some example use cases with this new partnership include:
Sequencing Services
Policy Engines
Key Management & Custody
Check out the full post to learn more.
ApeChain Live on Mainnet
ApeChain is now live on mainnet.
Users can start bridging to ApeChain to test out some of the early deployed dapps, and to earn native yield on APE, ETH, & stables (USDC, USDT, DAI).
They’ve launched an incentive program, where users can compete in trading simulations using the Top Trader app (takes 10 APE to participate).
ApeChain has also integrated LayerZero, meaning the APE token can now seamlessly be used cross-chain.
ApeChain was launched using Caldera’s RaaS solution.
Rejected Event
Celestia, Catalyst, Movement, & SpiceNet will be hosting a “Rejected” event in Bangkok on November 11th.
Show your proof of rejection to the main stage to apply your team for participation.
There will be 10 talks total, with speakers voted on by the community.
AltLayer AVSThon Recap
As a reminder, a couple of weeks ago, AltLayer and EigenLayer unveiled AVSThon, a month-long hackathon where participants are to build a product using AltLayer’s WIZARD, their AVS-as-a-Service platform.
There will be $80K in ALT & USDC rewards going to the top 100 winning teams, with the top three teams winning a chance to present their project at EFDevcon during AltLayer’s Rollup Day event.
Since launching AVSThon, AltLayer ha onboarded three new track partners:
Automata, a machine attestation layer built on the Superchain: 1 builder will win 60K ATA for creating an AVS that uses one of Automota’s two TEE tools.
Lagrange, a ZK coprocessor: 5K USDC to an AVS builder leveraging Lagrange’s ZK coprocessor.
Brevis: ZK, a ZK coprocessor: 5K USDC to build data driven dapps built with the Brevis coprocessor.
So far, there have been two workshop livestreams:
AVSthon kickoff day
AVSthon Workshop “Hello World AVS Deep Dive”
L2Con
L2con is the largest conference during Devcon dedicated to L2s, modularity and infrastructure for Web3 developers and founders.
Expect speakers from Celestia, Monad Labs, Espresso Systems, Offchain Labs, Scroll & many more!
📅 13 November, Devcon
